too much sex and violence.

I mostly enjoyed this book. It was an interesting storyline and I think the main characters will develop well. My main gripe with the book was that it has too much detail of Romney's sex life and especially way too much detail of the violent porn video. I skipped over part but still find it quite disturbing. If it wasn't for those things I would certainly read more from this author but now I'm not sure I dare too.

rope enough was a terrific book,the characters were engaging and the story well written and fast paced. trust me this book will not disappoint and i can't wait to start to read the next instalment in the series!

Good Series Beginning

Enticed by this being a "freebee," I began this series with hopes of a passable read. I got much more than that! I had, actually, read another book by this author, Bad Boys, and was amazed that it was self-published. Both books were proofread at least as well as other ebooks (some are spectacularly awful!) and I appreciated the excellent syntax and vocabulary. I am a particular fan of the British police procedural, and Tidy seems to have that genre sewed up - good rapport between police, mystery that is interesting but not primary to the interplay of characters. My only minus in this Romney and Marsh book is that I have less sense of place. Preferring to "armchair" travel, I do like it when a locale is really descriptive. I plan to move on to the next offering with this duo and hope to enjoy it as much. There is a wry sense of humor in Romney that I expect to enjoy again and again. So, well done, Mr. Tidy!
