Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone. Yet when Gwen is drawn into Denver's lethal underground scene, Hawk's protective nature comes out full force. The problem is, when Gwen gets a dose of Hawk's Alpha attitude in the daylight, she's not so sure he's the one anymore....

"[Kristen] Ashley captivates." (Publisher's Weekly)

"There is something about them [Ashley's books] that I find crackalicious." (DearAuthor.com Kati Brown 2012-01-00)

"I felt all of the rushes, the adrenaline surges, the anger spikes... my heart pumping in fury. My eyes tearing up when my heart (I mean... her heart) would break." (On Motorcycle Man) (Maryse.net Maryse's Book Blog 2012-01-00)

About the Author
Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake.

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Fun, fun, fun
By TravelingGal
This was my first Kristen Ashley novel and I really enjoyed it. The story is interesting and all of the characters, including the many secondary characters, are well-defined. The hero is super possessive and super dominant. Yes, he has issues but I loved him and how protective he was. Warning - he is not at all PC. The heroine is super girly but never pushed over into annoying territory for me. This is a long novel - over 10000 Kindle locations - but it never dragged. Very glad I took the chance on this one.

A non-stop Wild Ride!
By Splage
Mystery Man was the land of BADA$$ES and the testosterone was overflowing everywhere, I would be surprised after reading this that I don't have hair on my chest. The story had an explosive romance and tons of action plus MAJOR BONUS! another gentle and perfect epilogue.

Hawk, the hero, was Gwen's mystery man and she had been his booty call for a year and a half. He had said like 3 words to her at a restaurant, I think they were"Are you coming?" After that he would just show up in her bed give her lots of "O's" coupled with wild romps and then be gone in the morning. Gwen struggled with her conscience and this pattern, but in the end gave in to it even though this submissive behavior was so far from Gwen's spunky personality. Then Gwen is threatened and dragged into a big mess because of her trashy sister's illegal actions. Gwen marches into a biker shop that houses a very dangerous biker gang to find out where her sister is. She catches the eye of the gang leader who is HOT! then is interrogated by a police detective who is HOT! and then her midnight mystery man shows up (who is HOT!) to scold her. Once Hawk opens his mouth to tell her she has just created a big mess she decides she doesn't like his high handedness and they are over...he shouldn't have opened his mouth. Hawk laughs at her, loves the attitude that she gives him and realizes how much he has missed out of over the pass year and a half with not getting to know her. Such parody, it was hysterical.

Hawk was killer, beyond arrogant, I mean if there was a scale from 1 to 10 he would be like 100 and arrogant not just confident. Enter Gwen, Hawk's perfect match, she didn't take his crap (except for the the first year and a half when he didn't open his mouth) At the beginning because Gwen had many other potential leading men, I wasn't even sure I wanted her with Hawk, but as the story progressed there was no questions. I actually think of all of KA alpha men that I have met so far Hawk would be their leader. Mystery Man also had so many other lovable characters from family to friends, a couple a different climaxes, some heart pounders, some heartbreakers--loved them all. I can't wait to read my next Kristen Ashley book!

Can't stand the Jerk (the hero)
By FloridaMaura
I have enjoyed many books from Kristen Ashley, she is a great author and I will keep on reading her books.

--- Will include spoilers, so don't read if you don't want to know - - -

But as much as I love alpha males, dominating and protective, this one is such a jerk, I had trouble finishing the book. The heroine has been having a sexual relation with the hero for a year and a half, she does not even know his name and he just shows up in her house a night for a couple hours, once in a while(!!!) When troubles come knocking on her door, he finally steps up and comes to her rescue. The first time they meet in day time, he won't even tell her his name because he does not want any type of relationship besides the sexual one they have been having. However he knows everything about her, then later we come to find out that the hero also says there were other women at the same time. Now he wants a relationship and won't take no for an answer, not that the heroine is all that much convinced she should say no. She does tell him it is over several times, but lets him convince her in less than a minute every time, I can't stand her either, even though she is cute and funny like much of all Ms Aslhey's heroines, she has no back bone and lets him roll all over her. Later in the book we find out that he has lost his family and that is why he behaves this way. The heroine finally gives him hell, but again it does not last very long. Don't expect any good groveling scenes. It ends on a nicer note, but still, I am not a big fan of this hero.
Big disappointment for this book, I will start reading another one of the same author and hope that they will be as good as Rock Chick, Sweet Dreams or even Wildest Dreams, books you can enjoy if you like bossy, possessive alpha males and funny heroines :)
